  • independent studies online  on our website.

A single exam in literature is complicated, but the new exam model will not cause doubts in knowledge if you update and consolidate them constantly.

Literature is the primary classic school subject, often selected for the Unified State Exam. The exam in the literature is changed every time to complicate the delivery process. For 2018, changes are also planned. Graduates need to be well prepared to pass the test. They must read the works of the school curriculum, learn to correctly express their thoughts, remember the specifics of the profile KIMs.

Who needs to take the literature exam

The main directions of exam preparation

Preparation for the exam in this subject begins with a study of its current demo. The goal is to understand the structure, form, logic of the test. You can download the demo on thematic sites dedicated to the Unified State Exam. The theoretical material studied throughout the entire period of study must be repeated. Tests for 2016-2017 are being passed, several essays are written on standard exam topics. Special attention to reading recommended literature. The list includes 145 works, each of them is used in the preparation of examination tasks. Difficult topics are worked out with a tutor. When the test fails, the non-passed exam is retaken after 12 months. Test results are appealed. The procedure is very complicated, unpleasant, lengthy. It is not worth it to make a failure, because time destroys the knowledge gained at school, so passing the USE will become even more difficult.

About changes in the system of conducting the Unified State Exam in 2018 was known for a long time. For the first time, the big head was announced by the former head of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Litvinov. In particular, innovations will affect Unified State Exam in Literature 2018.

The new exam, which all graduates of the 2017-2018 academic year will take, will consist entirely of creative assignments. According to the current Minister of Education of Russia Olga Vasilyeva, next year a new promising model of a unified state examination will come into force, specially developed by leading specialists of the FIPI Institute.

FIPI completed testing the new model of the unified state literature exam and graduates - 2018 will already pass the exam in a completely new way.

Employees of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements took drastic measures, completely excluding test items from KIM. What other innovations await the already worried eleventh graders?

Short answer jobs will no longer be

To begin with, let's look at which literature is the most important. So, as mentioned above, the tests were extracted from the exam.

There were reasons for such a step - according to the developers of the new method, the tests do not represent any difficulty for the graduate, being an extra element of assessment. In test cases, there is a high probability of “guessing” the correct answer, which FIPI experts do not agree with in any way.

In the exam in literature there will no longer be open-ended test questions, where the student is required to answer in one word or in the form of digital sequences.

Today's exam has twelve of these questions from the total. Most of these questions test the graduate's knowledge of the basic terms of literary criticism.

However, schoolchildren today are perfectly savvy on these points. In addition, tasks where detailed written answers are supposed are designed for operating with terms, so additional testing of this knowledge is not required.

To the great sadness of the graduates, they lose the guaranteed opportunity to score points on only a thorough knowledge of terminology. In addition, the strategy of triplets to get rid of "little blood", that is, to do only one part with tasks that require short answers, is completely collapsing. Starting from 2018, each examiner will be expected to demonstrate the ability to express their thoughts sensibly and beautifully.

The increase in the number of tasks of choice

From now on, graduates will expand their choice of options: instead of three tasks for a detailed essay, there will be four. That is, you will need to take one topic from the enlarged list. Having received this or that work for the “big” composition, the student can choose which question he will be more interested in answering.

The volume of the work will grow

In the “main” essay, the minimum volume of the required text will be increased. In the current exam in literature, the minimum volume is 200 words, but after a year you will need to "put" at least 250 words on paper.

Also, the developers of the new method came to the decision to specify the requirements for mini-compositions. If now there are no strict conditions regarding the number of words in such essays (when writing mini essays, a recommendation of 5-10 sentences appears), then by 2018 FIPI plans to establish a minimum volume of 50 words. This requirement will apply both to comparative tasks and to tasks for text analysis.

Simplification of assignment tasks

The changes also affected tasks on the so-called “immersion in the literary context”. If today in the Unified State Examination in Literature they propose to compare the text with two texts, thereby showing their horizons as a reader, then in 2018 it is proposed to abolish the task, mentioning only one text for comparison.

Assessment criteria are being clarified

Now, when there are no assignments with short answers in the USE in literature, automatic verification has become impossible. In light of this, the developers of the promising method of a single exam in literature faced an important task - how to achieve the most objective assessment of student knowledge?

Now the exam in literature consists of five essays, which brings it closer to the "traditional" school final exam. Experts seriously approached the matter, all kinds of meetings are held, where wishes and suggestions are expressed regarding the approach to evaluating work. Presumably, by the time of delivery we will know the final decision of FIPI specialists.

The new exam in literature has already been launched

In the academic year 2015-2016, a test exam on literature was conducted with some changes. More than 1000 schoolchildren from 60 educational institutions in 13 subjects of the Federation took part in the "experiment".

During the testing of a new approach to passing the exam in literature, it was revealed that 94% of teachers supported the introduction of an updated exam. In addition, experts emphasize the fact that the new model is not too different from the previous one in its complexity. In other words, schoolchildren should not worry - the passing of the exam in literature in 2018 will not become fundamentally more difficult.

The exam in literature is not included in the list of mandatory exam tests for school graduates, but is required for admission to many universities for popular specialties: journalism, philology, television, acting and others. “I will solve the Unified State Exam in Literature” online - the ability to effectively prepare for the exam by performing tests on various topics.

This exam, according to surveys of graduates, is considered one of the most difficult. There are several reasons: you need to operate with a huge amount of information, you need to write an essay, a lot of time is given (about 4 hours), and it turns out to be insufficient to successfully cope with all the tasks.

How to solve these problems?

  • Master the theory to confidently use while passing the exam test;
  • Learn to rationally plan time for the exam;
  • To master the skills of writing high-quality essays on a given topic, to concisely formulate a thought.
Stages of preparation:
  1. The main thing is to set a clear and precise goal. The goal is the result you are heading for. To present the desired result, you need to make a list of preferred universities, where you plan to enter - everyone has their own passing score, which in the most prestigious educational institutions reaches 80.
  2. Take the necessary textbooks to repeat the theory of literature. So that the preparation is systematic and thorough, it is recommended that you start by familiarizing yourself with   - it specifically indicates all the points that you should pay attention to.
  3. Use all resources for preparation, do not neglect school education.
  4. On the issue of writing an essay, the training and help of a teacher or tutor, who will check the essay, give recommendations, and help analyze errors, is necessary.
Please note: for half a year it is impossible to thoroughly and thoroughly prepare for the exam, because the program involves a significant amount of theoretical information.

The test structure includes tasks that can be conditionally divided into two types: testing and essay.

  • The questions of the first part require knowledge of the theory and literature of different centuries - from antiquity to modernity. Awareness in events, heroes, characters, issues, styles of works is supposed. Testing involves choosing the right option from those proposed. More complex questions relate to the establishment of correspondence, the analysis of the poem, the examinee is given a fragment of a literary work and tasks to it that must be completed. The biggest problem is working with poems, defining means of artistic expression.
  • The second part involves the formulation of their own opinions in the form of an essay on a given topic. From the proposed options for topics, you can choose the appropriate one - there are three of them, according to the periods of development of literature: Old Russian, classical, and modern literature. The criteria for evaluating an essay are: completeness of the topic, the logic of building the text, knowledge of terminology, factual accuracy, the ability to argue.

Starting from the new school year 2017-2018, changes have been made to the system for passing the Unified State Examination in our country in several subjects. Rumors of impending change have been around for a long time. On the eve of the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva confirmed this information. According to her, the changes relate to a number of subjects, including   Unified State Exam in Literature 2018. Next year, school graduates will take the exam differently.

Innovations developed by FIPI (Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements) will radically change the very model of conducting final tests for schoolchildren. It is planned that now the exam will consist only of creative assignments. Type tests will be discontinued.

Will this improve the quality of the test, time will tell. Teachers, the eleventh graders themselves and their parents already today began to thoroughly prepare for exams in literature. What changes in passing the exam in literature await graduates?

FIPI presented their official list:

  1. The requirement to justify the choice of an example for comparison was canceled.
  2. To the three previous themes of the essay, a fourth was added.
  3. The criteria for assessing the performance of tasks with a detailed answer have undergone strong changes.
  4. Immediately by 15 points (from 42 to 57 points) increased the maximum for all work.

Testing with one short answer, on which schoolchildren traveled so often, especially threesomes, was canceled. Thus, there will be no chance to earn points on the tests. According to the developers, such innovations are justified. Indeed, because of its simplicity and monosyllabicity, the answer could be guessed.

With the help of tests of this type (in the current exam there are 12 such questions), the knowledge of the terminology of literary criticism was checked. In addition, experts are confident that such testing is unnecessary. As in the expanded written answer and so it is necessary to operate with terms. And this is enough to test basic knowledge. Now, in order to successfully pass a single state exam in literature, the guys will have to work hard.

Starting in 2018, literature assignments will be aimed at testing graduates to present their thoughts beautifully and competently, to be able to reason based on read works. Many tasks are related to the development of oral speech in schoolchildren and their vocabulary

The increase in the number of tasks of choice

Graduates will still be able to choose assignments for composition from the proposed options. If before there were only three tasks, now the list has increased to four. Thus, the choice has expanded, and the student can stop on an interesting question for an answer to the work.

Recall that earlier for the theme of the essay was proposed literature of three periods:

  • from Old Russian to literature of the first half of the 19th century;
  • the second half of the XIX century;
  • russian literature of the XX century.

In 2018, developers added works of the late XIX - early XXI centuries. Now included and the "latest" literature of our state. This also includes works that were born in the last ten years. Adding a fourth essay topic is the most important innovation in the literature exam.

The fact that the themes for the essays were works of the post-Soviet period does not mean at all that graduates should read any specific authors (mandatory names are not on the list). This innovation will allow the examiner on the material of literary works of the late XX and early XXI centuries to reveal a given topic of his choice.

The volume of the work will grow

As for the minimum volume of the expanded composition, it became larger. This year it was enough to use 200 words in your answer. Next year, the number will increase by 50 and amount to 250 words.

Requirements for mini compositions have changed. They have become more understandable and specific. If earlier it was necessary to write a text with a length of 5-10 sentences. And, as you know, sentences are also short, of three words, for example.

They are also difficult, using a large number of turns and introductory words. Now everything has become very clear. The volume of the mini-story should be at least 50 words. This applies to any tasks related to both text analysis and comparative and comparative tasks.

Simplification of assignment tasks

The following year, it was proposed to simplify the tasks for comparison as much as possible. To show their reading horizons, graduates had to compare the text using two works. Now, one will be enough to justify your choice.

Assessment criteria are being clarified

For a long time, experts thought over the question of how to evaluate students' knowledge in full and as objectively as possible. After all, now there are no assignments with short answers that made knowledge testing automatic.

Since 2018, it has been proposed to tighten the criteria for assessing the exam for graduates. It is specified that in addition to testing, which takes into account the knowledge of terminology, five essays on selected topics should be written in the assignment

According to the developers, now the single exam will be as close as possible to the traditional option of passing the school exam. Perhaps, over time, the unified state exam will be completely canceled.

Specialists taking part in the development of a new model of the exam in literature continue to work on a system for assessing knowledge in this subject. They hold meetings, voice problematic issues, express opinions, and try to find optimal solutions.

The new exam in literature has already been launched

A trial (experimental) exam in the literature, with some changes that are currently officially approved, was carried out for the first time in the school year (2015-2016) in 13 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Over 1000 students from 60 educational institutions took part in it.

It is worth noting that 94% of the literature teachers satisfied the results of the experiment on introducing a new model for conducting the exam in this subject. In their opinion, today this option of the exam allows you to fully give an objective assessment of the knowledge of students

But graduates need not worry. The updated exam is practically no different from the tests of previous years. Yes, and it is unlikely that the state literature exam will become more difficult. He will not cause any difficulties for graduates.

Already on the Internet, developers have published a demo of the exam in literature 2018 with answers and criteria. Future graduates, parents, teachers and all interested persons can familiarize themselves with the demo version and understand the structure of test and measurement materials, the number of tasks, their form and level of difficulty. This gives a general idea of \u200b\u200bthe requirements that will be presented to the answers to the exam in the literature.
