Short answer jobs will no longer be

There were reasons for such a step - according to the developers of the new method, the tests do not represent any difficulty for the graduate, being an extra element of assessment. In the exam in literature there will no longer be open-ended test questions, where the student is required to answer in one word or in the form of digital sequences.
Today's exam has twelve of these questions from the total. Most of these questions test the graduate's knowledge of the basic terms of literary criticism.
However, schoolchildren today are perfectly savvy on these points. In addition, tasks where detailed written answers are supposed are designed for operating with terms, so additional testing of this knowledge is not required.
To the great sadness of the graduates, they lose the guaranteed opportunity to score points on only a thorough knowledge of terminology. In addition, the strategy of triplets to get rid of "little blood", that is, to do only one part with tasks that require short answers, is completely collapsing. Starting from 2018, each examiner will be expected to demonstrate the ability to express their thoughts sensibly and beautifully.
The increase in the number of tasks of choice

If now there are no strict conditions regarding the number of words in such essays (when writing mini essays, a recommendation of 5-10 sentences appears), then by 2018 FIPI plans to establish a minimum volume of 50 words. This requirement will apply both to comparative tasks and to tasks for text analysis.
Simplification of assignment tasks
The changes also affected tasks on the so-called “immersion in the literary context”. If today in the Unified State Examination in Literature they propose to compare the text with two texts, thereby showing their horizons as a reader, then in 2018 it is proposed to abolish the task, mentioning only one text for comparison.

Requirements for mini compositions have changed. They have become more understandable and specific. If earlier it was necessary to write a text with a length of 5-10 sentences. And, as you know, sentences are also short, of three words, for example.
They are also difficult, using a large number of turns and introductory words. Now everything has become very clear. The volume of the mini-story should be at least 50 words. This applies to any tasks related to both text analysis and comparative and comparative tasks.
Simplification of assignment tasks
The following year, it was proposed to simplify the tasks for comparison as much as possible. To show their reading horizons, graduates had to compare the text using two works. Now, one will be enough to justify your choice.
Assessment criteria are being clarified
